Well I’m still frantically sewing to finish my cosplay in time for Celebration V, but I’ve finished my Star Wars lolita pieces, so I thought I’d share!
I’m really pleased with how my R2D2 skirt came out. I’ll be wearing it with a white underskirt. It’s a bit hard to see, but there are little star buttons and pearls scattered across the skirt!
To match, I slid a bow on a pearl headband I got at Forever 21. It has matching stars and pearls!
I also made these cute earrings to match both of my outfits.
Okay, I’m not gonna lie. This may be the best lolita thing I’ve ever made. So cool. The little Stormtrooper helmets are felt with little matching gray bows! I’m trying to decide what I should wear hair-wise with this. I’m thinking about maybe a headdress with another little felt helmet in the center, or just a gray bow so as not to detract from the awesomeness of the dress. What do you guys think?

I think it would be so awesome if you wore an actual storm trooper helmet!
I know it is not really lolita, but I just pictured that in my mind and I thought “WHOA AWESOME”. :D
Also, can I ask where did you learn to sew?
I don’t wear lolita but I would like to and maybe make my own, so I just wondered how you started with the whole sewing thing :)

Hahaha that would be amazing! Maybe I’ll find someone to let me barrow one for a picture at the con.
I learned to sew by hand really really young, and then I took a Home Ec class in 8th grade, and some further sewing courses in high school. Although, if I were just learning to sew now, I’d probably learn entirely from Youtube tutorials, there’s a lot of really excellent videos about sewing these days!

Wow, awesome~ I’ve finally started to sew my own first one, so let’s hope it comes out okay! (Especially since I don’t have a sewing machine available at the moment….. o__o)

I think my head exploded at the JSK. I would have said “Brands whould totally do this” but then I rethought that statement and decided it was best not to be tempted by $300 dresses of awesome, well… more awesome than they already are.
makelovely said:
Hahaha thank you! I totally agree. If brands made Star Wars stuff, I’d be living in a cardboard box.

That jsk has got to be the single most awesome piece of clothing I have ever laid my eyes on.
And the R2 skirt is precious. ♥
I’m usually more of a lurker than a commenter, but I HAD to say something about those. :D

I would love to know where you found the image for your R2D2 stencil! I’m making my son a messenger bag and have been looking for an image to use. I love how your skirt turned out!
makelovely said:
I made it myself actually, but I will certainly post it sometime soon.

Would you by any chance do a commission for a poor little nerd fighter lolita? ;^;
makelovely said:
Haha thank you! I’m not taking commissions right now, but I’ll definitely post on here sometime if I do. DFTBA <3
